At Laserage, we conform to our Quality Motto of “Focus on Excellence” in every facet of our operations. This, coupled with our laser cutting competencies spanning 35 years, gives us an unmatched edge over our competitors. From quality systems to reliability to engineering support to customer service to turn-around time, “Focus on Excellence” propels us toward robust growth.
Laser Cutting Capabilities
Laserage specializes in laser cutting 2D (two dimensional) flat parts and customizing 3D (three dimensional) pre-fabricated components. We have the capability of cutting up to 0.187″ thick material in a 34″W x 34″L footprint. Our focus is on precision cutting of complex geometries with close feature-to-feature positioning, such as small holes or narrow slot arrays with close tolerances.
We also offer precision tube cutting by introducing a 4th axis used for tube rotation during the cutting process. This allows us to laser cut cylindrical tubes from 0.0125″ through 6″ diameter.
Advantages of Laser Cutting
As compared to other conventionally used cutting methods, lasers offer several advantages. Here are a few:
- Minimal distortion on parts due to a small heat affected zone
- Intricate part cutting
- Narrow kerf widths
- Very high repeatability due to the accuracy of our custom built laser systems
- Cutting rates far exceed that of conventional/ standard sawing equipment (up to 30 times faster)
Close-nesting of parts during laser cutting ensures that material utilization drastically improves over conventional cutting methods. Reducing material wastage ultimately results in more dollars being saved. We are your ideal supplier for small, thin, delicate and high-precision parts laser cut from a variety of metals and plastics, in flat, tube or pre-fabricated component configurations.
Laserage’s Materials Portfolio
From hardened steel to flexible soft polymers, our lasers can be programmed to cut a wide variety of materials. Our engineers have developed unique multi-purpose laser systems to cut your products efficiently and cost effectively. Utilizing special optics and custom fixtures, our engineers are continually upgrading our traditional laser cutting systems for optimum productivity.
We have the flexibility to laser cut parts from master blanks as diverse as narrow flat wire and standard strip sizes to custom sheared blanks for maximizing material usage.
