Congratulations to Sri Vishnubhotla for winning the Laserage 2016 customer survey drawing. Sri is a Product Development Manager with Alphatec Spine and worked with Laserage a few years back on new product efforts. Laserage and Venta Medical Moves to Milpitas, California
Laserage (CA) has completed the move into our new laser processing facility adjacent to Venta Medical, Inc. All the lasers have found a home in a well-organized, climate controlled production area. Our office staff have setup their new locations and the Quality & Engineering labs have been completed. The laser installations have been IQed and validation of production processing is ongoing.
Both Venta Medical and Laserage (CA) can be found at 1971 Milmont Drive in Milpitas, CA 95035. A lobby is shared by both companies in the Northeast corner of the building. Deliveries are taken in the rear of the building. Our Main phone number for Laserage (CA) is 408-770-8520.

Laserage Acquires Formed Polymer Solutions, Inc.
Venta Medical, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Laserage Technology Corporation is pleased to announce the acquisition of Formed Polymer Solutions, Inc.
Formed Polymer Solution’s specialized thermal forming capability gives Venta the added capability to expand its business to serve Venta’s current and new customers with custom components and formed polymer sub-assemblies.
“Last October, our parent company. Laserage, acquired the laser processing unit of Directed Light, Inc. (DLI) which is being co-located with Venta and now with the integration of FPS’s capability, Venta can serve a wider base of customers seeking to outsource their projects to a one-stop-shop operation” said Karl Im, President of Venta MedicalSM. “The acquisition of FPS gives us the ability to manufacture a wider range of thermoplastic components with micro precision requirements.”

Venta Expands Capabilities – New 16,000 sq ft of space with additional 10,000 sq ft of expansion space will enable Venta Medical to better serve its growing customer base for Medical Device Manufacturing
Venta Medical, a wholly owned subsidiary of Laserage Technology Corporation, announced today the completion of the move to its new ISO 13485 Certified and FDB Licensed facility to expand its operation in Silicon Valley California.
Venta Medical views the move a to larger CER as a necessity for strengthening its on-going contract manufacturing capabilities, and to provide the opportunity for new projects to incubate within Venta as it provides customers with dependable, single-source manufacturing solutions from early stage through volume productions.
“Laserage had acquired Venta Medical one year ago, and has since brought long-term capital support and enhanced operational resources leading to our expansion and growth,” says Karl Im, Venta Medical President. “Laserage also acquired the laser processing unit of Directed Light, Inc. Laserage Acquires Directed Light’s Laser Processing Division – A Silicon Valley Based Laser Technology Contract Manufacturer
Laserage expands to provide additional services to emerging companies in the Northern California Region
Laserage Technology Corporation, a global contract manufacturing source for precision laser processing, announced today the acquisition of the laser processing unit of Directed Light, Inc. (DLI). DLI’s laser processing group will be integrated into Laserage and Directed Light’s Industrial Laser Components and Service Group will not be acquired and will retain its name and brand.
The Laserage executive team views the acquisition as a strategic move, strengthening its regional contract manufacturing capabilities and solidifying Laserage’s position as a leader in precision engineered laser solutions. Through the acquisition, Laserage will now offer two state-of-the-art laser facilities located in the Midwest and in Northern California.

Dan Capp, VP of Sales Development, Gives Presentation on Laser Processed Catheter Modification
Dan Capp, Laserage Vice President of Sales Development, gave a presentation on catheter modification utilizing laser processing at the March summit of the Medical Device Manufacturing Resource’s Master Class. Dan reviewed the various ways in which laser processing is used to modify catheter assemblies, including drilling holes, forming channels, marking and welding. Additionally, laser-processed components can determine catheter flexibility, reinforcement and implants.
Laser Processed Catheter Modifications
Hole Drilling: There are a number of ways to drill holes using a laser. The fastest way to drill a hole is often accomplished using a single massive pulse of energy. However, a stream of smaller laser pulses results in better energy control, therefore providing a more precise hole.
Laser Welding: Lasers are also used to weld metal tubular components. These metal sheaths are often referred to as “garages” because they are placed in catheter IDs to hold or store something until it is required to pull it out.
