This is a 1st shift position reporting to the Systems Engineering Coordinator
Primary duties include production of components for Laserage and customer tooling requirements. This includes mechanical design and development of customer required and Laserage tooling and fixturing and machining of components used in the tooling, using company equipment in the tool shop area. This position will participate in the assembly and integration of customer and Laserage tooling, specifically working with Product Engineers to implement tooling which is capable of producing lasered product for low to medium volumes. This position will also check customer prints for tooling and machining requirements and participate in fixing or modifying tooling and fixturing. Maintaining the tool shop area for equipment, tools and fixtures in relation to Lean Manufacturing and 5S cleanliness standards as well as maintaining all safety requirements is essential.
Successful candidate should have 1-3 years of machining and tool making experience. Must be able to demonstrate the abilities to machine components using various metal working equipment such as, but not limited to milling machines, lathe, drill press, grinder, band saw and others. Must be able to know or able to learn personal computing skills. Successful candidate will also need to exhibit drafting skills, CAD skills, and the ability to design and build tooling spontaneously without the creation of fully detailed drawings.

Primary duties include performing CNC programming and general set-ups, maintenance and troubleshooting all laser orders and production equipment based on print specifications.
This position is also responsible for completing and maintaining all production paperwork associated with orders, along with general supervision of Laser Operators.
Successful candidates should have a minimum of a Technical Associates degree or 2 years of relevant experience. The ability to read and understand schematics is essential.
